Halsey keeps her eyes wide open in the candy colored video for “Alone.” The singer arrives ready for some underground exploration at the party dubbed “A Celebration of Death” in the visually stunning clip for the remix of the song from her Hopeless Fountain Kingdom, featuring Big Sean and Stefflon Don. Both guests make appearances in the piece which is co-directed by the singer and Hannah Lux Davis, and finds Halsey strutting into frame in a golden-glittered body suit as she heads to a masquerade ball. Halsey tackles the first verse with a cinematic flair while pursuing a past lover from her “Now or Never” music video.
Surrounded by guests in flashy costumes with questionable motives, Halsey croons her way through the eclectic crowd until she spots the angelic man in the balcony. When she notices her winged ex-lover being caressed by another woman (who also has blue hair as Halsey did in the previous video,) she’s overwhelmed with emotion, and runs to a fountain to vomit. Halsey later explains via Twitter that she is “purging herself of Solis,” which is the mans name. Luckily, Big Sean is there to console her. “Let’s hit the Maldives and hide behind palm trees, little red wine, weed and a calm breeze,” the rapper spits to Halsey. “Cuz baby you’ve been living life inside a bubble…when the last time you had somebody love you?”
For the final verse, the beat breaks down and allows Stefflon to add her Jamaican flare. “You always tell me say me full of attitude, and you don’t like mi friend ‘cause she rude,” she pens to an ex-lover of her own. “Still I pull up in the Benz with tha all gold ting.” The clip ends with Halsey smiling in a rain of confetti as the lover is left puzzling over a cryptic note she’s left behind. Dada Life –the acclaimed Swedish headlining DJ duo of Olle Cornéer and Stefan Engblom— continue to unleash new music with their latest single, “One Nation Under Lasers,” (via SPINNIN’ RECORDS). Out today (4/9), the track is the fourth single unveiled from the duo’s forthcoming full-length Our Nation album that’s slated for a May 4 release.
“We wanted to write a melody that cuts through all the fluff in the world–like a laser–and I think we made it,” says Olle. “At least judging from the reaction when we’re playing this song at shows, it’s massive!”
Recently Dada Life announced the first part of their 2018 North American “Our Nation” club tour launching Friday, April 27 at Liquid in Madison, WI.The 30-date tour will make additional stops in New York City, San Francisco,Toronto, Boston, Chicago, Dallas, Los Angeles, San Diego and Denver, among many others, with additional dates to be announced soon. Watch a tour promo video here. Tickets are on sale now. Click here for more information and to purchase tickets. See full tour itinerary below.
The 11-track Our Nation marks Dada Life’s first LP release since 2012’sThe Rules of Dada and has something to offer fans on the full-dance music spectrum; from hard-edged bangers like the album lead-off “Our Nation,” to softer, slightly orchestral accented album closer “Falling Backwards In Time”or the album’s first single, the uplifting and good-vibed electro-house “Higher Than The Sunday,” mixed by Daft Punk collaborator Mick Guzauski. R3hab has been incredibly interesting to follow over the years. He first exploded onto the scene with his buzzsaw heavy electro bangers, but in recent months R3hab has revealed a more sensitive side. While his last production ‘Hyperspace’ was pure intensity his new single ‘We Do’ returns to a more low key vibe.
‘We Do’ is a clean production through and through, and once again focuses on a future bass style. Dreamy lyrics by Miranda Glory help elevate this track a great deal, but at the end of the day it just doesn’t stand out. Future Bass releases are a dime a dozen, and we know what R3hab is capable of producing. While there is absolutely nothing wrong with ‘We Do’, I guess I was just hoping for a bit more. Check out the track below and see if your thoughts match mine, or if I am just a bit jaded at this point in the game. This article originally appeared in EDM Sauce

“It’s Time” for the main event. Two heavyweights enter the ring. In this corner, we have the energetic turn-up titan Steve Aoki. In this corner, we have the affable Kung Fu master Laidback Luke. On the mic, we’ve got the iconic UFC announcer Bruce Buffer, and all over the dance floor is a rolling tide of bass that’ll knock the competition off it’s feet. Let’s get ready to rumble.
It’s a downright fight in the official music video. You get to see both producer/DJs with their shirts off and their game faces engaged. Training is tough, but not as tough as this hardstyle rhythm as it pummels you from your feet to your hips. The halftime break gives you just enough respite to get your grind on. It’s a lot of feels, and these dudes have a lot of killer work-out moves.
When “It’s Time” to hit the ring, who will reign supreme? Trick question: When Aoki and Luke get in the studio together, we all win. This article originally appeared in Billboard

Yellow Claw, the producing duo from Amsterdam is back with a new bass-heavy ballad featuring L.A.-based artist, Valentina. The song is called ‘Villain’ and profiles the trials of a break up in that someone is typically made out to be the ‘bad guy.’
Valentina’s powerful pop vocals lay nicely over a mellow harmony that has bursts of high-pitched synth, and accompanying electronic keys. The music video, also out now, stars Valentina along side Yellow Claw’s very own Nils Rondhuis as the memory of her ended relationship.
This release is a follow up to the duo’s 2017 Los Amsterdam album. After a bit of a break of touring, you can expect to see these guys touring the festival circuit this summer with upcoming shows EDC Las Vegas & Tommorowland, just to name a few. This article originally appeared in EDM Sauce

With over 45 million Spotify streams to date, the Vietnamese-American artist is set for a 2018 takeover with her smoky, R&B inflected bops. Her latest single “Blood & Bones” is about the “misinterpreted allure” that often accompanies unrequited love (or lust), and how feelings of infatuation can often lead us astray. Produced by Kylie Minogue collaborator Jimmy Harry and mixed by Ty Dollar Sign engineer Morning Estrada, it’s a cool and beautiful mix that blends genres without sacrificing any emotive qualities.
“There’s something so romantic about seeing someone for the first time and feeling like you know them already – or at the least, know everything about them. You start to fall for the person you’ve already made them out to be in your mind, getting caught up in your own ideas about them. Even better when they’re out of reach or unexpected. It’s a romantic fantasy when someone lives up to your imagination about them. Blood and Bones is my way of admitting that underneath the decorative and detailed surface of me, there’s a truth I’ll keep from you.” This article originally appeared in C-Heads.
