Kendrick Lamar and SZA bring “All the Stars” to life in the sleek video for their Black Panther collaboration.
Directed by Dave Meyers and the little homies, the Grammy-winning team behind “HUMBLE.” and “LOYALTY.,” the visual features stunning imagery inspired by the upcoming Marvel superhero film. K-Dot even walks around with literal black panthers at one point.
“All the Stars” also captures the TDE stars in all their glory. King Kendrick is hoisted above a crowd of supporters and later surrounded by tribal dancers in a land inspired by the Kingdom of Wakanda, the fictional home of Black Panther.
The regal clip also finds SZA amid a sea of stars, tribal dancers, and an elaborately-decorated pool. Later, a constellation in the shape of Africa forms in her hair, before the clip fades to black. This article originally appeared in Rap Up

Azealia Banks might make a lot of headlines for her opinions, but she still does her best to cater to her musical fans whenever she can. The Harlem rapper releases the music video to her “SODA” record, which comes off of her 2014 debut album Broke With Expensive Taste.
The Jahvel Brown-directed visuals feature Banks sitting on top of some rock formations in a desert, where she is joined by a drummer dressed in a fancy ensemble. Azealia sports a golden dress, along with some black globes and combat boots, while exploring different parts of the desert.
The song dives into an intense breakup that the New York native experienced in 2012, which is when she penned the record for the previous project.
Things have already started off on a busy note for the “Movin’ on Up” entertainer, as she signed a $1 million deal with Entertainment One back in February. She is also still currently working on her forthcoming Fantasea II: The Second Wave album, which she has given fans teasers of since the start of 2018. This article originally appeared in XXL Mag

The Echosmith group premiered the single “Over my head”, the first one released since entering the recording studio at the end of last year. According to a press release, the material shows the clear evolution of the group in the sound, in which the line of synthesizers is accompanied by a sticky chorus and a series of beats. This is the first test of what will be his new short-lived album (EP) that will be released in the summer. In addition, the group will tour the United States next to The Score and Jena Rose, which will begin on April 4 in San Francisco. This “tour” includes 20 dates for cities such as Los Angeles, New York and Chicago. “Over my head” is the most recent release of the band and the first single to get rid of their next EP entitled “Inside a dream EP”, which gives continuity to their debut album “Talking dreams”. With less than three weeks to go until the release of Alison Wonderland’s new album, AWAKE, comes the ambient single “High” featuring Ohio rapper Trippie Redd. The track is accompanied by a mood-enhancing video featuring Wonderland and Trippie Redd and animation by Jayme Lemperle and Evan Red Borja. It was self-directed by Alison Wonderland, with cinematography from Jeffrey Zoss.
Wonderland says, “It was a real pleasure to work with Trippie. It is important to vibe with an artist before we collaborate. When he heard this song, it was very organic, and he jumped in the booth and we walked out feeling that we had something special. I felt like this song had a certain spirit and wanted people to feel like they were going on a journey with us….just like when watching the music video.”
With two U.S. Gold singles already under his belt, 18-year-old Trippie Redd has been described by XXL, Mass Appeal, Pigeons and Planes, hnhh and Noisey as “rap’s next rock star.” His debut mixtape, A Love Letter to You, launched a series of viral hits: “Love Scars” surpassed 16.1 million plays on SoundCloud and 11.9 million Spotify streams in addition to appearing on playlists such as RapCaviar, Most Necessary and Liit. “Romeo & Juliet” generated 6.6 million plays on SoundCloud and 3.5 million Spotify streams. Noisey observed, “While most of his contemporaries produce gritty, bass-driven bangers, Trippie toys with melody and adds a softer element that sets him apart from the pack.” The New York Times praised his “deep-haze vocals, ambling emotions, and slow-fade resolution” and FADER said that his “hook-making abilities and confessional writing…immediately stand out.” This article originally appeared in Astral Werks

… SOFI TUKKER are out with their brand new video for their latest song, “Baby I’m A Queen.” In the clip, we see the two members, Sophie Hawley-Weld and Tucker Halpern, attend a children’s beauty pageant. They sit in the audience as they watch and sing to the kids up on stage, some owning it and some struggling. We also see the duo up on that same shiny stage performing their song, dressed in glitzy costumes. Around the second half of the video, they’re pouring royal blue paint all over themselves as they sing and dance with the children.
The video is equally as powerful as the music that comes with it – an almost 4 minute-long avant-pop song that gets the feet moving and the self-confidence rising. As Hawley-Weld douses herself in paint and glitter, plays pretend guitar on a trophy, and sings “I might prefer crying to being composed, I might prefer chaos to even flow,” amongst a sea of awesome children, you really can’t help but think “yeah, she is a queen.”
The group’s debut album, fittingly entitled Treehouse, is set to arrive on April 13th. This article originally appeared in Baeble Music.
