The new music video is a heart-stopping two minutes that matches the intensity of the Big Room single.
Miami powerhouse DJ Steve Aoki released a new single this morning (March 23), and Billboard has the exclusive premiere of his new music video.
“Mayhem,” featuring Dutch DJ Quintino, is the first in a series of hard-hitting Big Room collaborations coming out on Dim Mak over the next 5 weeks. The campaign, called “5OKI,” also includes a massive “Dim Mak Miami Party” today, with Carnage, Desiigner, Dada Life, Grandtheft and of course Aoki all scheduled to perform.
The 2-minute music video films as a satirical horror trailer, with Aoki and Quintino stranded in a winter forest, with Aoki wearing nothing but a gown. A mysterious voice calls Aoki as the beat builds. “Sorry, Steve,” the voice says in a deep baritone, “looks like you’re gonna have to miss this one.” The camera pans to Aoki’s face: “I ain’t never missing a show,” he says. What ensues in the remaining minute of the music video is as fast-paced and heart-pumping as the single itself.
Aoki is also scheduled to perform this evening at Ultra Music Festival. Daddy Yankee and Elvis Crespo are set to make guest appearances during the set. This article originally appeared in Billboard

David Guetta and Sia have once again joined forces for the hot new track “Flames.” The duo — who first set the world on fire with the 2011 Billboard Hot 100 top 10 hit “Titanium” — just released a lyric video for the triumphant single. “Flames” marks the fourth time that Guetta and Sia have collaborated, including “She Wolf (Falling to Pieces)” and the Fetty Wap-assisted “Bang My Head.” The new track is an inspirational pop tune that shows off Sia’s powerhouse vocals. “Oh my love, don’t stop burning. Gotta send them up in flames,” Sia sings. This article originally appeared in Billboard

Back in July, Steve Aoki and Lil Uzi Vert teamed up for “Been Ballin,” a highlight off Aoki‘s Kolony album. Today, the duo have come through with a new visual for the banger. As they say, better late than never. The Ours&Yours directed clip employs a variety of visual effects, imbuing the clip with with a lavish, surreal quality. Gold flows in abundance; Lil Uzi has never been one for modesty. The young rapper continues to shoulder shrug his way into piles of money, while Aoki sails through a golden, El-Dorado esque city. Did you really expect anything less from this unexpected duo?
For the most part, we’re not exactly reinventing the wheel on this one. It largely relies on live performance footage of Uzi, which gives the clip a bit of a disconnected feel. Still, it’s an entertaining visual component to a mindless banger, despite it skewing closer to style than substance. This article originally appeared in Hot New HipHop

A collaboration between Dimitri Vegas & Like Mike and Quintino, ‘Patser Bounce‘ features on the soundtrack for the new Belgian movie ‘Patser’ (meaning Gangsta). This latest installment is the third movie from Moroccan directors Adil El Arbi & Bilall Falah. ‘Patser’ has already attracted Hollywood’s attention with Adil & Bilall currently in negotiations with Sony to direct the new Bad Boys 3 movie, with Will Smith and Martin Lawrence set to reunite for a third chapter in the much-loved cop series. Beyond contributing to the soundtrack with ”Patser Bounce’ the brothers Dimitri & Mike also feature in an acting capacity, expanding on previous on-screen outings together such as ‘Safety First: The Movie’. Dimitri in particular has an active desire to further pursue film roles, with credits due in the upcoming Jean Claude Van Damme led ‘The Bouncer’, as well as George C. Romero’s ‘Rise Of The Living Dead’ – the follow up to cult-horror ‘Night Of The Living Dead’. The Belgian brothers are no strangers to soundtracking feature-lengths either, famously remixing the original Hans Zimmer theme ‘He’s A Pirate’, which appeared as an official remix in the form of a bonus digital track on the recent ‘Pirates Of The Carribean: Salazar’s Revenge’ movie.
The track provides an upbeat, intense soundbed that mirrors the film’s narrative and reflects the action-packed, powerful monologue. With ‘Patser Bounce’, Belgian’s favorite brothers demonstrate their ability to think outside the realms of dance music, combining a dancefloor primed weapon that also perfectly flows with the action on-screen.
